ADHD & Executive Functioning

When everyday tasks feel harder than they should, it's easy to become frustrated with yourself. Therapy can help you understand how ADHD affects your daily life, develop strategies that work for you, and navigate the self-doubt or overwhelming feelings that can come with it.

Understanding ADHD

There are different ways to understand ADHD. Simply put, it is a brain that can feel simultaneously overactive and underresponsive.

That can mean a brain taking in a lot of information at once and having difficulty prioritizing what to look at so it looks at everything. In order to manage this, sometimes the brain will shut it all down or fixate on things that are only of personal interest.

However, it might not always be a convenient time for our brain to shut it all down. That way of management might interfere with our daily tasks or personal goals.
